I have been in Atlanta my whole life – 37 years – and really wasn't
even aware of Arabia Mountain until recently. Like Panola and Stone Mountains
(they're all very close to each other) Arabia is an almost surreal granite outcrop.
The park is divided into 2 sections: a hiking trail along the quarry, lake and streams,
and, on the other side of the road, the mountain, itself. Cass & I took the low road
and just loved it. We'll save the mountain for another warm day.

I also went to see Zoo Atlanta's new panda cub, Mei Lan. Unfortunately
she was all tuckered out and sleeping like a baby by the time I got there, but
she's going to be a superstar for sure!
